Thanks Rick, your chassis appears to be built quite rugged. it should stand up to a lot of running. I wasn't expecting to see such a detailed motor under the hood. Thanks!:)

The engine is one that Mark Thomas (KY. Slot Racer) used to turn out. He did a bunch of really nice resin detail type stuff and some bodies as well. Unfortunately he no longer sells them as they were top notch.

Ok , I am not sure if I ask this before , but I was able to pick up a few metal body cars off of eBay . They are the cars of the movies " Fast and the Furious " . My question is , has anyone tried to make a slot car out of a metal body car ? Not sure if is worth doing , my thought was to make them for my grandson to run on the track , this way if his does run them off the track the bodies will not break up . Plan on making brass chassis for them .

Not worth it in my opinion. Been there done that. Too heavy.

The bodies may not break...but what they roll into just might.

Plenty of those model kits out there to use for that theme.

Ok , I guess I will leave them be . Give them to him like that .
