Chris, this is just achingly pretty. You even got Jim Clark's helmet spot on as I remember it from all those years ago. What a terrible, terrible waste his death was: I can still vividly remember hearing about it and feeling that it just was not possible. This is a wonderful tribute to a once in a lifetime gentleman driver.

Well done: thank you.

Ready for the first round of the proxy!!

The original Monogram gearbox/trans. case is rather large to say the least, so I made a smaller version from bits in the parts box......still on the clunky side, but, the rules say you must enclose the crown.

I think it turned out well, and, I am very pleased with its performance.

Cheers

Chris,

One of my favorite builds yet (in a long line of yours). I'm with Aloha - one of my favorite drivers as well.

Well,.. the 1967 GP proxy has wrapped up, with the 6th and final round being run last week. The cars were all really gorgeous, and the proxy did have some "celebrity" entrants with both Marc Tyler (code name "datto") from Immense miniatures, and Andi Roland (Policar) fielding entries.

There were some very close finishes in the final points tally,.......and I am delighted to have come out on top.

Hopefully this proxy (or a version of) happens next season.

Happy Holidays to all !!

A concours was held , and while many of the cars were absolutely lovely, the Gold medal went deservingly to David Mitcham's Ferrari 312......while it looks good in the picture, it is stunning in person.
