Some new projects!

Postby dge467 » Sun Mar 19, 2017 8:41 pm

I was at a model show and swap meet today and picked up some 1/32 future projects. Found this lot of cars for $10.00. The transport company just arrived and the mechanics are getting a look. I can hear them pissing and moaning already!

First off is a couple of 58 T-Birds! One real rough and one decent one! The rough one is being pushed down to the shop, but rumor has it he was looking for a high cliff!

Image

WOW! A 57 T-Bird Ranchero pick up! There is some excitement that this may be the new shop truck. Maybe static or possibly a slot conversion. It is long!

Image

What the heck!? A Ford EXP!! Are you serious man! Is that a lawn mower engine? Maybe we can do something with it.

Image

Oh baby a 197? T-Bird! What a boat! This one should be fun! It is a little longer then the Torino!

Last but not least is this resin Camaro. Picked it up for a super price. Anyone recognize the resin body? It has a brass chassis and a Ninco motor plus a Cox ring gear. It runs really well! I will just foil the chrome and paint the small details plus add some numbers..

Nice haul! That resin Camaro is probably one of David at RMS. He used to make that body before Scalex released there's.
Thanks

The show you went to, was it in Taunton, MA?

Almost went myself, but went to bed too late Saturday nite... :sleeping-blue:

GREAT finders there!!

I have the EXP and the wheelbase is so short, I am waiting for my brass chassis phase of life to build it.

The "barnyard" looks are exceptional, almost would leave them static around the course, you have some tuff decisions!!

Look forward to the creativity on the ones you decide to tinker with.

Thanks for looking! Yes It was the Taunton show, I had a vending table with my dad. The Camaro appears to be one of RMS's bodies, looks just like the one's he sells. I think the T-bird pickup will be cleaned up and just used as some pit side scenery. There is a lot of breakable bodywork on it. The others will be put on the track eventually. 8-)
