Just getting my feet wet in building 132 scale chassis. What kind of weight is normal for dressed out 1/32 chassis?

Cheers

Dan are you talking a brass chassis?
A plastic chassis with upgraded components?
Overall weight , or front vs rear weight %.
Just want to be sure I understand your question.

Broad generality: If you figure that most competitive 1/32 scale prototype and GT racers are in the overall weight range of 75-85 gms and if you allow for a 15-20 gm body/interior/glass, then that leaves you with a range of 55-70 gms for the fully dressed-out chassis (motor, wheels/tires, chassis, axles, gears, guide, etc.). Some cars are competitive at a higher overall weight. But, with your FF-030 motor, I would be looking to make my car as light as possible and still maintain stability/ease of driving.

There are always exceptions....................

I was just looking for an overall weight figure. My Chassis weighs in at 54 grams and I was curious as to what others had for a racing weight.

Thanks

Yes in that case Allan is right on.
There may be some slight variance , but that is as good a starting point as any.
If you have any Slot It Cars, weigh the chassis on it, then try a Scalex and see the difference.
I think Both do Ford Gts so that would be a good comparison for you.
