37 Ford Slantback. All done

Postby ShotgunDave » Sat May 21, 2016 11:32 am

Some of you may remember this project that I started some months ago. Well I finally felt better the last few days, so I finished it up. I finished making the master and poured the silicone last night. Today I pulled the first casting. I only had a small amount of old resin but I gave it a whirl to see how it goes. This is the first one from the mold.

It's got a few air bubbles and such but like I said, the resin is really old. They will only get better from here! So now it's on to building a car!

I think these will really fit in with my 40's, 32's and Model A's. Just one more for the series.

Nice one Dave, they just keep getting better all the time.
Well done, and glad your feeling a bit better.

I am assuming this will be a body you will offer for sale on HRW, right? It occurred to me that no one asked yet. I'm behind on your bodies, I will want to do a multiple order when the time comes. Do you still make the other ones? -and all the little detail goodies?

I didn't want to ask, but I'd be interested in one too.
