If we go race theme, thinking bright yellow body with flat black hood, roof and trunk, with flat black accents.

That is an AMT model kit but it was also released as a slot car with a Mustang "back in the day". The first thing I thought of was a salt flat car.

Only Avanti's I ever saw run were on the street. imho Street cars don't get enough respect in slot car circles. Bone stock would be my suggestion, make it showroom real.

The Boyz after much debate decided on the fantasy T/A

They saw a 83 Speedweek Daytona article about Joe Ruttman running a Avanti that they had up to 5th place at one point. Very cool looking car and that sealed the deal!!

They started on it this morning and got this far!!

The salt flats came in a close second, but since they had the road course to run this on it won out.

Boyz appreciated all the thoughts!!

Boyz slapped the first phase of the paint and are masking it out vfor phase two.

They are not the best at this two tone look so cross your fingers!!

thought that too, this was the beginning of the masking for the two tone paint job, but moved forward and the Boyz just applied that second color, will be interesting to see what happens!!!!
