Too cool that the wires fit in the trans tunnel!

Still slow going, but some progress. Filled in the body corners with styrene and putty for a smoother look.

Finally decided on a finish with Tamiya TS42 Light Gun Metal to contrast against the stock red interior.

This build's taken forever but it's pretty much there.

Finished with Tamiya Gun Metal spray and paint detailed the trim, interior and wheel inserts in Tamiya flat aluminum and Lin Gray.

Need to find misplaced head and tail lights and install mesh grille. Will finish off with a Luf's lady driver figure.

Looking good Dan, great job on smoothing out the curves too, can`t go wrong with the tri-5s. And I`m a big fan of those kit wheels for inserts, those in the know,,,know these very closely resemble the popular "weld wheels" racing wheels from the 70s. I actually made a rubber mold of these so I could use them at will. Also the chassis is a winner, I`ve found with all the chassis I have put together, the solid design seems perform better more often than a more elaborate build. One more note I notice is the rear slot.it wheel lends itself to resemble the floater hubs the way it protrudes past the wheel center. SUPER BUILD MAN ! BIG KUDOS

Appreciate all the narrative on this build!!

Thinking about getting my feet wet with a brass build and your pictorial was very informative.

Then if a get mine to look as striking as yours..............
