Kurtis Kraft Racer

A while back I bought the re-issue of this kit and gave it to the great Dave in Chicago to do a little molding. He was going to just make a few for the folks in the club, and he did a great job.

It looks great. The detail level is VERY well done and his finish captures it for my eyes.

Chassis is scratch built brass of course. He really crafted a fine one under here.

The surprise? He said he had a "body" for me and when I opened the box...this is what I saw!

Awesome. Cheater put a great finish on it!

Just bad to the bone. Oh, yeah it hauls the mail too. What a smooth machine!

Thanks Dave. You are a master slot car craftsman without a doubt.

What a great pair of cars, and the gift is just gorgeous! Love the paint on it, especially the nose!

Nice!

I have one of these kits (will be under the tree for me so a holiday project) I like the chassis and the paint job, real nice work

I found this blog entry on Indy Cals about an upgrade to the kit a chap is offering

They are both very cool. I totally agree with David the nose makes it. Jim

You are only getting half the story. Harry returned the favor with a gift of a Jalopy he
scratch built. And I think I got the better of the deal. His Jalopies are as close to slot racing
folk art as there is and I will treasure it as long as I breath.
