Nice choice and good write up.
There are many ways to tune these cars, but one thing that happens over time is motor break-in. Even after dunking these motors, nothing helps the speed factor like good old time at the throttle.
We still race them here, in fact I just picked up one of the red/white models a couple weeks ago.

Nothing missed. Sounds like you have your car dialed in to me.
I did remove the motor tabs and uses flexible wire on a couple to give it more flex, but I have no lap time data to say it meant anything.

SCX i love these cars ...
unfortunately .... when it comes to spares.......... ie chassis , bodies , body parts etc etc ... the company is hopeless.
they don't sell spares, can't get intouch with them....
