Guide upgrades ?

I have a Carerra 132/124 track , Wich has fairly deep slots. I am moving towards more slotit and racer sideways cars. Can I get a deeper guide for these two brands , that are more in line with carerra guides ?

I use Slot.it wood track guides on most of my cars, I shorten them up and trim them for the desired depth. If you are racing your cars you would want the guide to be as deep as possible and not wobble in the holder. If you use a guide with a screw you can adjust that to eliminate any wobble.

For guides that are too long...

I have a couple of Carrera cars that came with very long guides with double braides - and they won’t go around sharp corners on my Ninco track. They bind up and the car comes to a sudden stop. I tried shortening one of the guides to the same length as other cars, but still have the same issue. Is there a replacement for these guides? Or another way to make these work?

If you got them new, Carrera put a red guide in the packing for use on other brand tracks which works well. When I did not have that option, it removed the Carrera guide and trimmed / sanded down until it would work in the slot freely.
