1/24 scale CB Wheel modification

I needed a narrow wheel for the front of my midget project. Since CB design wheels have provided us with an awesome new Steelie wheel in this scale, I thought I would show how they can be modified to be used on midgets, Highboys, drag cars or anything else needing a narrow front or rear wheel. The amount you take off the front and back of the wheel is up to your build. I took about a 1/16" off the face of the wheel using a dremel sanding drum, and removed an 1/8" off the back side using the dremel cutoff disc. The wheel is mounted to an axle, then placed in your cordless drill. Mark the amount you want to remove and have at it! finish the newly cut edges with fine sandpaper and you will never know it has been cut.
