Does any one know of a better guide replacement for Carrera slotcar.

You can also use these. They are a direct replacement except they fit better and are a tad deeper I believe. You can find them in some US shops. ;)

Never heard of them.

The issue for most Carrera is the height of the entire guide system, not the depth or length of the blade.

They are mounted too high in the chassis and allow too much weight on the front. This makes the stock blade shallow in the slot, but just a deeper blade is not going to fix the issue.

Changing the system to unload the weight off the front tires and achieve a better tripod effect is where the performance gain is to me.

If you're only looking to lower the guide in the slot, trim the front tires to around 20mm OD and you're done. I would go much further than that. Carrera cars kind of heavy for the tripod IMO but do what works for you. There are a million ways to skin a cat. :D

On some that can work, but not all. You can also use offset bushings.
