Man that title sound like one of the best sets ever.I'm sure the two young fellows thought so as they gazed at the track..60's advertising at it's best. The lane change was just a couple of crossover tracks. The banked curves were small supports that you placed under the curves..You received a small oval of track.I guess that puts me back in the oval racing bunch .. :)
As some of you know Vintage Eldon cars are some of my favorites.Came across this on the bay for cheap and had to get it.Cool box photography and some cool ol' cars too..

Well, cool deal! Now you can watch it up close.. :)
Man,what is wild, the track still works.Very little run time at all on this one..
Need tires for the cars, but then it's oval racing at it's best...... ;)

That is very true Harry..We tend to forget how things are viewed thru younger eyes.A few years ago the wife and I went back to some of the spots we visited as youngsters such as Rock City..We were surprised at how small everything looked.. :)

Wow! Very cool, and in excellent condition! Enjoy playin' with that one.
Add a short stack of straights and let those little low volt Eldon motors wail!

Have fun... Ernie

in the 60's all the model mags had features on Eldon cars.. I can never recall Eldon advertising in these publications. they did have a neat bi-monthly newsletter that I looked forward to . I do remember a car model editorial in 66 where they said they were only going to have articles about serious slot car manufacturers and no more toys. . they did not mention Eldon by name but even at my early age I knew who they were talking about. toy???? my Eldon super detailed ferrari 196 could take a monogram king cobra on my 12 volt 35 foot track. that is when I came to the conclusion all slot cars are toys. Eldon was in the game before a lot of these manufacturers and remained after a lot of them vanished off the face of the planet. neat set. it needs to grow.
