Some Eldon fun!

Postby btaylor » Fri May 19, 2017 3:45 am

Got these out last night and made some fun laps! My retro built Eldon open wheel cars are some of my favorites. These are on cutdown Artin chassis, with stock motors. Scale speed and handling is fantastic on these cars.

Bravo! Is that Denny Hulme in the Smokey Yunick car?

I think a lot of us here have entered yearning mode with the 500 approaching. The homogenized spec series format of today is a poor substitute for the wide open days of your cars above. Sid Collins, AM radio, the Singing Hoosiers.....

It's always nice to see how a little detail work brings those vintage home set cars to life. Paint and decals really make them look good!

And yes...the Artin chassis are a great use for these...they run well and are inexpensive donors. Very nice!
