Also cool to see the time and effort you are giving this neat vintage piece.

I've chased this thing up one side of the internet and down the other. Zip. The closest I've come is this outfit from the 60s: Miyazawa slot cars. They made a couple of cars with metal bodies, one in brass- an f-1 Lotus, and another in aluminum, but I can't find what it was. They only made 1/24th, and I can only find 2 cars. But they did make a decal with "American Grand Prix", which is significant because Gran Prix is misspelled. Phillippe de Lespinee had an article a few years back about them.

The body shape is real close to a Harvey Aluminum Special. That's all I can think of. Very unique car. :)
