Lately though, I've purchased a few that.have the mabuchi motor adaptors and these run a bit better. By far the best runners are the brass chassis cars with the hemi. I've seen those on the Cheetah but maybe they came with other cars as well.

Great collection. I have acquired quite a few Strombeckers lately as well. Personally, I like the plastic chassis the best as I redo the running gear with 1/8" threaded axles, Cox gears and EJ's wheels and guide. Along with the Mabuchi motor conversion, they run great.
