outbox?

Hello folks, Maybe either Harry or one of the mods can help me..............when sending PM's I often get messages sitting in my outbox for a rather long time, waiting to be delivered. Am I doing something wrong (seems a rather straightforward process), or is it just a function of traffic/system/upload times?

Cheers

Hi Chris

This is one of the quirks of the forum software: the message remains in your outbox until the recipient reads it. Unusual but in a way it makes some kind of sense: sort of like an automatic read receipt!

Cheers

Interesting, did not know that, thanks!

I have one from April that has presumably never been opened by the addressee!

Ahha......Like Dennis, I did not know that either........actually not a bad little feature, at least you know if/when it has been read.

Thank you all for the response(s)

I asked the same question of Harry a long time ago, and like others here, I have come to like it. I had one lie in my outbox a long time, and when it finally left, that guy I sent it to showed up again on HRW all of a sudden, still with no reply. No idea what's going on there, but at least I know he read what I wrote.
