Great timing, and thanks for the review, Jeremy. :) I'd bought the first Alfa in this series several months back, but kept forgetting to take it with me on race night. I finally got it on Mark's Carrera track on Saturday, and with just a touch of tire truing (5 seconds worth), the car flew. Super-smooth, easily kept up with a Slot.It Ferrari 312PB.

The car is very well done. In fact, we had four SRC models on track on Saturday: two Alfas, a Capri, and a 907, and all of them ran great.

Good review!!

Had a chance to see it and it is a great looking classic.

Thanks for the hard work Jeremy. I need to tune this 907 I have now.

Thanks for the review, I've been curious to see how they performed before spending the $$.

Good job with the review! I have yet to open mine.....I eventually will. Sounds like I made a good purchase. I actually have a Capri and 907 still unopened from SRC as well. I will get to all three before long :banana-dance:

This is my "pleasant surprise" car purchase of the year. I bought the first Campari one because of it's modeling and wasn't expecting much on performance.

I got both with just some minor and inexpensive mods.

- glued loose rear axle bushings and motor
- reduced rear axle slop with CA gap-filling glue in bushing
- mounted Luf's urethane replicas of the stock rear rubber tires
- nail polished the stock front tires
- removed spring from guide shaft
- added lead weight under front axle
- induced body rock by sanding chassis edges and replacing stock rear screws with Slot It brass half thread ones
- backed off the front and rear screws for handling to my liking

It performs almost as well as my Slot It Alfa on my short and twisty wood track with very close fastest lap times.

Slot It Alfa 33/3 (stock, urethane tires) - 5.766
SRC Alfa 33TT (stock, plastic rims w/Luf's urethane tires) - 5.795

It ran pretty good with the sanded rubber tires but really improved by two-tenths when I mounted Luf's urethane replicas.

A highly recommended car.

Dan, I think you're really on to something with the urethanes on this car. The handling is very tight, lots and lots of grip with the wide, stock tires. Some tires that had bit more 'give' would be a nice improvement. There is lots of potential in this one. :)
