Hello Harry, I always look at your car reviews and I noticed on some of them , the top of the fender Wells are cut out. Or so it appears. Is there a reason for that ? Just curious.

The front 'fenders' were cut above the tires to reduce the pressure that formed between the top of the tire and the body work due to tire rotation at high velocity. Initially louvers were used but tire marbles from the track accumulated in the louvers, leading to the larger openings used lately.
