Great review Harry. That is one sweet looking car.
The lights do add such a nice touch to most cars.
Its on my short list!

It's a neet car. I got to run it last night. Smooth on both plastic and wood. Very impressed!!!

Not a fan of the new Corvette at all (or the Camaro), but recognize a well done car. Nice work!

I suppose this question is more aimed at Dave Kennedy than Harry, but that digital chip looks different than past D132 offerings, plus there is a mini-circuit board on the motor too. Cutting to the chase, what the heck is all of that?!? Do the chip and the board on the motor function in unison, or is that little board just a replacement of the standard anti-interference resistors?

The level of detail is fantastic on that car. I still think that GM screwed up the look of the Corvette when they designed that thing, but Carrera made a top-notch model of it.

First thanks for the review Harry, superb as always of course and the photos are really great!

1. This is a new digital chip BUT it has the SAME functions and applications as the previous 26732 chip (and it will have the SAME part number when it's available as a part). It was made by a new vendor for Carrera.
2. The little board on top of the motor has the same TV anti-interference functions I'm told we just have a different design now.
3. Also before someone asks.. yes this is a new design for lights which features a sort of universal application. Lights in cars will now be on these little circuit boards with wires. That means that this new design is more universal and that helps everyone, ourselves included with having lights as warranty replacement parts.

Thanks for the info, Dave.

Does the new universal lighting platform mean that we can expect that kit sold as a separate part? That would be fantastic not only for upgrading Evolution models to Digital, but for merely adding lights quickly and easily to analog cars.

No it will not be sold as a separate part but i'm working on them getting as replacements for warranty.

I'm surprised more people aren't talking about this car. Of all the D132 Carrera cars I've run, this is hands down the best running one I have. Great review Harry.

I agree. We have had some hard racing/testing with this car and it is one heck of a race car.

I got the analog version over the weekend along with a set of PG tires. It is already one of my best modern GT cars and will hold it's own against the cars from Scaley as well as the other GT cars from Carrera. As usual there was a second guide blade in the storage compartment but unlike most of the others it is black instead of red. I hope it was just a change of color and not a duplicate of the stock blade. Great job Carrera!

Well you should be able to see what the blade is... whether it's a standard or special guide would be evident. Was it a digital car or analog?
