I enjoy it sir. I tune these Carrera classics to run in our existing classic "series".

So they run like many of the NINCO's. Same 9/27 gearing, etc.

Old thread I know but.....
I have had one of these Cobras for a while but never it had out of the case.
The opportunity to run it arose recently and I just thought I would share my observations.
My home layout is standard Carrera track but at my club it's a wood routed track so I don't usually run magnets.
When I first ran the Cobra at home it would barely move on the track because the of the strength of the twin magnet set up.
It was nearly full throttle before the car moved and it wasn't nice to drive.
I experimented removing each magnet in turn and then both magnets. The compromise that gives me the best driving experience is remove both magnets and fit the smaller rear magnet in the front position. It's thinner and shorter than the front magnet but can still be retained by the standard clip.
This set up allows good speed and tail slides are controllable without over sensitivity. More importantly the car is now FUN to use.

Good report. Since I just finished our Carrera track, maybe I can now start to explore adjusting these magnets.
