Bob, you will have to sand the inside to smooth it off and to clear the chassis/pinion. But you know all that already. :)

Alfas will always be among my favorite cars (didn't Enzo start out as a driver for Alfa?). Thanks for the review. Those PG tires look great, but how do you think urethanes will stand up against good rubber, such as BMW, NSR, Racer or Slot.It on plastic or routed wood tracks?

I know PG tires grip better than stock rubber here. You can only test on your own surface and see what you feel is best. All my cars run the same compound, so the grip level is evenly matched. I can say on my track the grip is excellent.

The tire question is one very difficult to answer. I honestly don't waste time comparing many brands/blends, etc anymore. PG has a tire I like a great deal and I simply use them on all my models. Do they grip as good as ANY other? I can't say that. I just know they bite very well here and I stock with them.
