Great review Harry, as for the wheels, I agree with the smooth axle concept.
If I want to change like you mentioned its easy, if I want to keep the originals I sometimes give the axle ends a little squeeze with vice grips. It creates enough of a spline pattern to give the hubs more bite on the axle.
All in all very nice looking cars, certainly on my list.

If I had some extra $$ I'd buy them both as they are running my numbers. I usually use 44, but if I am sending two cars I usually use 45. I wouldn't even have to paint them, eh?

Harry, thank you for your review of this car. I have never bought a Pioneer car as I have mainly raced Scaley 70 Camaros. I have raced against them and found that if you use similar modifications to these cars as you do to the Scaley then they race competitively with each other. One thing I have noticed about the picture of the 69 Camaro it seems that the nose of that particular year car is better done than the competition. I do have one question, will the slot it wheels and gears fit the Pioneer axles?

C.B. Design/Slot.it wheels fit the axle. Gearing is another story. To change gears you need a new axle. This one has knurling(crimping) for the gear. It's not worth trying to sand the knurling IMHO. If you change gears, change the axle as well.

But that is just me. If it is that important to change the gearing, I always just install a new axle. Couple more dollars isn't a deal breaker at that point.
