Question about Camaros

Guys, I have the yellow and orange, yellow and black, and primer red Carrera Super Stocker Camaros, but I can't find the blue one (maybe I didn't ever get around to buying it- it was over 10 years ago). I'm going to be selling them and some other cars soon, and when I was looking at various sites for an idea of how to price them, the yellow and black car is always priced less. Why?

Likely because it was not really painted as a drag racer. Doesn't it have the smaller slotted wheels?

Yes, it could be mistaken for a TransAm car except for that giant belly on the chassis that makes the rear end stick up like a drag car. Many times, I thought about making a chassis for it that has the body sitting properly, but the scale would look strange beside my other Camaros.

I saw this Camaro race at Laguna Seca last year. The photo Harry posted is of the front stretch at Laguna Seca. We had access to a the second sky box from the left (with Coca Cola signs) above the garages. If the was taken last year we were likely in this photo.

Back to the subject. There are also photos around of a car with the same paint/ livery scheme but it has slotted mag wheels and lake pipes running down the side which is how Carrera modeled the car. Unlike the Carrera car, that car isn't jacked up in the hind end like a teenager's ideal in 1959. I have no clue as to which version is correct or even if the two are even the same car.

I've got this car and it was modified with Scalextric mini kites by MoparGreg. That change alone makes it look much better!

It's a small kite made from stiff fishing line, tissue paper and very fine thread for the string....
....They work well indoors and out depending on tune.

Nothing to do with slots so I assume he meant Mini Lites......

A set of minilites & a serious lowering job actually transforms this car. Doc Reinecke can you post a pic of yours, Rob may change his mind about selling it. David I actually bought the car like that.

That does it. I just wrote on the other thread that I'm going to see about doing this car like its prototype and see what it looks like.

(I can't believe I'm so focused on this thing I didn't figure out minikites...)

I just did a little "holding it still and squinting", and I put the body beside the Scaley versions, and there is real potential in this one. I'll still sell off the pro-stock drag cars, but I'm keeping this one. I have a spare Scaley Camaro chassis, and it looks like an easy graft job to make the swap. Thanks, guys. I would have felt awful stupid to find out about this later.

Rob, Hopefully David will post some photos of his. Im pretty sure it had the original chassis. From memory you can lower them pretty easily. By lowering with some decent wheels & rubber with some weight down low I think it ran pretty well. Im pretty sure its the same chassis design as the old Carrera cudas & I had mine running pretty well. When lowered it will foul with the original interior, so change it to a lightweight card type like Harry does. The original interior in the cuda at least weighs a lot,
