In what ways is it more tunable, beyond those three axles holes (The AW Super III has as many, if not more)?

I have a JAG DR-1 but have not played with it yet. The problem seems to be that it will also take some extra work to narrow up to tuck under available bodies. Thoughts?

That the best chassis for 'tucking under' is the HighWingPilot SL2.

It looks like it would work fine, except then you have to buy a motor, pickups, guide, wheels, tires etc. I can already kitbash/fabricate/adapt something if I wanted to. Thanks though, peace.

It is the only chassis narrow enough for many of the things I see people wishing for.

Only you can decide if building one is worth it to have the latest of yours granted.

That looks like exactly what I'm looking for. How does it look w/an AW Funny Car body on it?

Now that I look at it this is the chassis I already have sitting in a box. They don't make a "narrow" DR-1, do they? Just different wheel color variations I think.

Hi Deco, bear with me here.

Close one eye and squint through your good one, hang yer tongue out a bit, looking over the top of your thumb, so as to super impose the two DR-1 chassis pictures. Put the narrower taller appearing rims from the standard DR-1 on the DR-1 "Narrow". The disclaimer would be if the trac width put your skins on the rails, but I seriously doubt that would be the case.

Would that get you going in the tight direction ?

Thanks to all for this discussion. In the end, the simplest solution to what I want to get is to just did what Sweet did, use 4 Gear chassis & cut down the hubs.
