Drag strip help.

Postby downtowndeco » Sun Jan 08, 2017 9:04 pm

I want to build a drag strip. I want to use AFX track & the AW start/finish system. I want to use 2 strips of track side by side so that I can get some separation between the cars when they race. With 2 straight tracks laid side by side i would use the # 1 lane & the # 4 lane. My question;

Has anyone here "frankensteined" the AW christmas tree & finish system to work on a setup like I'm describing? Is it simply a matter of taking it all apart & adding enough wire to make it stretch to fit across 4 lanes or...?

They can be modded.I did this on my Rusty Tools drag strip some time back.The wires are small and short so one has to be very careful when taking it apart..Wood also did this,one of the first to do it as I recall ,on his 1/24 drag strip.
Have fun!
