Postby indybob007 » Sat Jan 02, 2016 8:29 am

Howdy guys I wanted to know how long is a 1/4 mile in 1/32 scale. And a 1/8 mile. My back straight is 18 ft long' Is that long enough to use for a drag race in 1.32. Thanks Indybob :text-thankyouyellow:

1/4 mile is 1320' divided by 32 = 41.25'

1/8 mile = 20.625'

Thanks I thought I could use my new Trackmate ' which has a Dragstrip countdown timing start. I was going to put a start and finish line on the back straight which is 18ft long. That should be fine for a 1/8 mile race. I wont have any timing since my Trackmate sensors or used for the oval on the start on the other side. Better than nothing I guess. i could always get a trackmate sensors later for the back straight. And maybe I could get the AW world drag set they make in HO and rig it some how / I have many drag cars for HO but only Muscle cars in 1/32. Thanks Indybob

I will just use a pillow at the end where the turn starts. Thanks for all the help. One thing even having the Trackmate drag start' With no sensors at the start' One really cant tell if someone jumps the start. This is where the race is really won in the start. So I really need some form of sensors at the start and end. Always something. Thanks
