As it sits now it's 4X8 with 4 lane scally oval. Outer turns are r4-r4-r3-r3-r3-r3-r4-r4s for a funner curve. 12v power supply. I got a couple lane wired and had to give it a try. I wonderd how much fun a small oval could be? being use to racing on large tracks with 15-25 foot straights. Within minutes all doughts where gone and a smile was on my face!!! :D Not much more got done on the track tonite except laps. I did get the old track computer out of storage and fired up. It has PCLapcounter and making a list for a light bridge/photocell timing system. Also have the other 4X4 table getting ready to add on this week-end. But it RUNS !!! Also a first tonite, My Wife Doni came in and wants to try this "oval racing" :music-rockout: . It just keeps getting better. Now to finish those brass chassis and break them in. Pics soon, John W.

Plug is done and track is back down nice and smooth. Pics will be up early tomorrow, rehab lets me use there computer to do so. Need to repaint table after some small holes are filled and sanded. Friend is coming over this week-end to set up 4' X 4' table to make it 4' X 12'. I will start adding scenery after wiring and dead strips are done. Rehab is kicking my butt, but I am getting stronger every day. Spoke with v.c. about retraining to get back to work. One step at a time. John W.

Table extended to 12 feet. Removed screws from legs and added 1/4" carrage bolts. All nice and straight. Painted frame all one color. Tried routing but shoulders are not up to that yet so will be useing plastic. Added green indoor/outdoor carpet. Working on boarders this evening. Plan on wiring this weekend, Orders phidget board for pclapcounter. As the name says...cantstopnow!

Track is looking great.
I see one piece missing on your oval, if you need one I have a crap ton of scaley straights.
If you need one or two let me know.

On our Carrera ovals, we elevate the corners a little. Adding that little bit of a bank makes it a lot easier to drive.

Not the ridiculous bank like the factory Carrera banked turns, but about half that much. Just 2 inches or so. I have even thought of putting a complete plastic curve together and heating it to put a slight bank in the plastic. Maybe make a buck or form to shape it while it is hot. You can't do too much or you will have too big a gap against your straights. Doesn't take a lot to really add to the fun.

Time to get it wired. Pick up some extra supplies while at the depot today. Thinking about how I will do the driver stations. Will try and finalise those week.
