Bowes Midget #44

I couldn't build this one in time to send off to the proxy, but this is what I've done so far. I won't be using this driver because I haven't figured out how to get his hands down to the steering wheel. Besides, I've gotten so used to the oversized driver on the Monogram version, a 1/24 scale driver looks to small now..LOL

I also think the final version will have smaller diameter front wheels. These look a little to big to me. Oh well, lots of work to do. I've got two more in the pipeline after this one.

Okay, so I did a bit more work on the Bowes last night. I certainly looks better with the "Big Boy" driver...

Thanks Jeremy. The body isn't actually mounted and that's why its sitting a little weird.

I agree about the wheels. I bought this chassis preassembled and it came with the wheels you see. It won't look like this when I'm done. I do like the traction from these trued/glued vintage sillies so I may try to see if I have some more "scale" looking fronts to match them with.

We'll see....
