My first Super mod build.

Well, I finished my first of many super modifieds this morning. I gotta say, these are a hoot to build, and are fast as Hell! I am doing the first set in original box art style, because I just love the vintage look. I started with a simple brass chassis, very similar to an F1 build style. I added the front and rear push bars/ bumpers, and the side hairpins and steering linkage. The motor is a piranha right now, but will be switched to a jaws when I get them. Gearing is 9/33 Cox. I am using a combo of pro track and H&R wheels, with a resin wide five inserts. the kit wheels didn't have enough detail on this one. The tires on the rear are my own urethanes made from the kit tires, the front tires are urethanes also, but are from my jalopy tire mold.I went half tray driver figure, as you cant see inside these very well anyway, and it a lot simpler and looks just fine. All in all, these are VERY fun cars to build, and to race.
