Dixon John Special

At one the of the HRW fun runs, Dixon John (aka the Mayor) gave me an almost completed chassis and body that he was working on. After sitting on my bench for over a year, I finally got around to finishing it. I repainted the body using Shotgun Dave's weathering technique. Not sure how it runs but I think is looks the part.

Perfection sir, just perfection.

Not many of us have models from bigshot politicians. That's a keeper.

Thanks Harry, That body looks great! The 39/40 Fords are some of my favorites. I have the AMT Sedan but for the Coupe I had to buy a Shapeway's body that is very hard to prep and finish. Appreciate your honoring Shotguns techniques....COOL looking car!
Regards,
Tom

Looks good Tom. I new you had it in ya!!!
Actually the casting is one of mine. I went without the running boards for a bit different look and it is a two piece mold, not slosh casted.
I still have the mold. At least I hope I do as the master is long gone. After last week's feasco I don't know what molds are there
I'll be back home soon ad find out
