The chassis looks fine, it should be another winner. If you tire of bending wire, there's no reason why you can't substitute easier worked brass rod for the wire. I can't tell the dia. of your middle spacing rail, but if it's .078 wire, you might have to use something else unless you have some 2 mm. brass rod, but any size rod will work. The brass rod will provide you with a chassis slightly heavier, but not as stiff as the piano wire, two characteristics you may of may not want, John's suggestion of using brass rod rails & one piano wire rail for strength is a good one. This rail combination has been popular on 1/24 chassis for the last 10-12 yrs. & it still works. :)
