Way cool.
(and I'll bet that they rule- they'd likely nerf off anything else that came on the track!)
nice.

You've inspired me, Bobber! I got three Hudsons out today that I started long ago. I should have them decaled in a couple of days, and I touched up the paint today. Mine are all 1953.

Thanks Guy's! these things are fun! we are taking bets how long the door handles and such are going to last. I do know that when you roll one, ya better have some good fencing up, cause they just keep rolling! lots of car wax on these, as roof scratches are eminent.

They all look great! A big step from the first Hudson that you entered in the original La Carrera Panamericana fun run!

Big 308 cube twin-carb straight sixes and the 'step-down' chassis gave these Hudsons an edge in early fifties stock car racing.
Really like the Moebius kits (who would have thought new tooling for all these would be created!), but mostly I like all of these BIG SCALE slot builds going on.
Great stuff!

Found out a couple of weeks ago, that my uncle built Hudson stock cars for a local service station owner that was into racing big time in fifties. Seems he was the man locally when it came to making them run and handle.
Something noteworthy on the Moebius kits. All the chrome trim, and I mean ALL the chrome, has locator pins that are long enough to be Melt mounted instead of glued. Similar to the RTR cars that are available. This is most handy when it comes to racing these things, as you are not picking up pieces after every event! I still back them with a layer of hot glue to reinforce them, but it probably isn't needed.

Mario Andretti started with one in the Modified division! Not many think of him as a north east modified driver, but he started his carreer out of Nazareth Pa., and cut his teeth on the local short track ovals.
Actually similar to the car Strangebrew posted, the Andretti Hudson would make a great subject for a big scale slot car!
If you play the Gran Turismo video game you may have even raced his Hudson yourself...
