40 Sedan project "true barn find patina"

Postby btaylor » Sat Feb 25, 2017 4:57 pm

This body was in a junkyard lot I bought of the bay. I had been building up some chassis while waiting for them to come in. Might loose the hood on this, and expose the full house Flattie that I put in it. This is what I have so far. I hate to wash and paint it! Image Hawk motor, brass chassis, 9/31 gears. H&R wheels with model kit inserts. Parma guide. soon to have PG rear tires.

Don't touch it. It looks good just as it sits.

Well, since I didn't really know what the crud all over this body was??? I gave it a good soap and water bath, and a fresh coat of Duplicolor lacquer Wimbledon white. some left over decals, and a couple of coats of ACE brand clear. Need to paint the small trim next, buts its track time for a bit first for some tuning.ImageImage
I like it!
