I'm making progress. I have 3-4 other projects that need to be done by Monday, so this is going a little slow, but I'm getting there. Decals were the worst part and I still don't like the results, this is the 3rd or 4th go round. I had a Cady sheet and it fell apart, then I masked it and paint the red and it peeled off some when I removed the masking. Then I used a set of decals I made and brush painted the nose. The decals were more pink then the red of the nose. Next I added a second layer of decals to try and darken the flames to match the nosel None of it was satisfactory. I may try to make a mask out of white vinyl and paint all the red at one time and with really thin coats. But..that will be on another body as this one is painted for the last time. Exhaust, intake, drag link and windshield are next,

P1010004.JPGGot my version built with a resin Strombecker dirt track body trimmed out a couple days ago.. Extended Sprintsplus frame, new AMT motor, coated Protrack tires. Tires are not very scale, but they make a good handling and running car. I have used the same chassis style to build a new 33 coupe for our Monday nite "chicken couple" races. I'll get a picture up in a day or two.
