Re: Le Mans Miniatures Bentley Speed 8 by ElSecundo!

Isn't it odd that the Carrera Bentley is so unusual for a Carrera? I worked on that car a lot, off and on, until I had it the way I wanted it. Its pretty crowded in that body, I remember, and I had a wonky crown gear, too. I have a couple of them, and I keep thinking I'll put a Mark motor in one and...

Re: Finally...a food topic! Dressing or Stuffing?

Now that brings up a subject I have always been interested in. There are folks in my family who eat internal organs. Like liver, gizzard, heart, kidney, chitterlings (that's really how you spell chittlins, can you believe it?). I can't stand the thought of it (with the exception of fried chittlins),...

Re: Just For Bibbster - Food Topic - Hamburgers?

Mmmmm!

Paul Prudhomme Meat Magic, 80/20, and charcoal fire! ...most of the time, anyway. I change it all the time.

Re: Help

Jon, I hate to tell you this, but the degassing thing is what you are looking at, like Jeremy's first guess, but it is further complicated by the fact that the lower layers were still gassing out when more coats were applied. You might try a gentle heating, but that's really asking for trouble. Ther...

Re: Finally...a food topic! Dressing or Stuffing?

Oh yeah, I forgot about brains 'n eggs and also rattlesnake. And poke salad is just nasty-- actually poisonous if you don't get the uppermost brand new leaves. Water buffalo is pretty good if it is very slow cooked. Australians like it, I'm told. The steaks we had in Venezuela were from brahma, the ...

Re: Monogram Vintage NASCAR

And it should be said that they are required by law in Europe, not here. Our RF noise stuff is mostly about actual radios, like CB, Marine, Aero, etc. We don't use 240v for household current, but Europe, for the most part, does, with different phases and all kinds of things different from us. Even e...

Re: 62 Corvair Super Spyder

I'm always thrilled to see another project from you. Not to take away from this one, which I really am looking forward to, but... what is that silver thing on the right edge of the photo? I know I've seen that somewhere.

Re: Ultimate and insane

Holy smokes. I never saw that rascal. What's the time period for that? I remember the Ulrich as being '65 or so.

Re: TGIF! What is going this weekend slotters?

Just got home from a huge effort to move my cerebral palsied son to his first apartment-- a 3rd floor walkup on top of a mountain, 3 hours hard driving from here! He is deliriously happy, and his roommate is capable and strong. I think the boys will make it it. Robby's brain power compliments his ph...

Re: Finally...a food topic! Dressing or Stuffing?

Foot, you must know by now how much I love to spread my recipes around. I get emails from guys' wives about stuff I cooked. Tickles me 'til Tuesday. Couldn't be happier if I was twins, get it? Here's the meat loaf complete: 2 pounds 80-20 beef (don't go leaner, it will be tough). 1 pound ground pork...

Re: TGIF! What is going this weekend slotters?

Thanks, Pat. The full reality of all this is just beginning to sink in for me. Its been 28 years, every moment to moment pretty much defined by "What effect will this have on Robby?" The last few years have been tough as he has been itching to get out in the world and as he says, "Sta...
