Re: Track build!!!

Thanks guys! Should have additional updates this weekend if all goes well!

Tom - the ovals are definitely a lot of fun and with our groups preference for running non-magnet classes, the action is addictive!
Hope to see you racing in the near future sir!

Re: HW Blvd. Bruiser

Talk about a great fit!
That makes for one tough looking machine!
Thanks for the pics and info! I may have to start looking in the Hot Wheels isle for some bodies!

Re: What is a "Friday Night" class car? Rules and Build ins

RV Racing - great to hear that we aren't the only ones running these chassis for fun racing! That is a great idea about using them as a home for "sub-par / old" FRAY parts! We wanted to keep our class simple / cheap / and easy for someone to buy a car at the track and be able to have a com...

A few decals can make a difference...

I picked up one of the new DASH Camaro bodies and while the Motion paint scheme looked sharp - I thought it needed some decals to look a little more "track" appropriate... :D Starting point: http://www.homeracingworld.us/SHADOW/Coppermine/albums/userpics/10013/Camaro_start.jpg Using decals...

Re: Whelen Modified to the body shop!

Appreciate the tips on the primer guys! This body / chassis combo was an absolute hoot to run yesterday - so I see a couple more of these bodies being picked up in the very near future and having an alternate methods of finishing that aren't as labor intensive and/or result in a sharper looking fini...

Whelen Modified build!

Similar to the "Friday Night" build I detailed, I wanted to share the rules and the simple method to assembling a car for this VERY fun class! The cars are based off the Johnny Lightning / Auto World Thunderjet chassis, which is relatively inexpensive, readily available. The body in this c...

Re: Whelen Modified build!

Now for the build! There are two general types of Johnny Lightning / Auto World chassis. The earlier released ThunderJet type shown on the left and the newer ThunderJet Ultra-G shown on the right. As can be noted with the green pointer, the newer Ultra-G chassis comes with and added button traction ...
