Our own Slot Therapist took a time lapse video of using household ammonia to strip the chrome off an AutoWorld VW Bug body. (To say this is the easy way, is an understatement) So, starting with this: http://www.homeracingworld.us/SHADOW/Coppermine/albums/userpics/10013/Chrome_bug_body.jpg It was sub...

Re: Stripping Chrome from Chrome plated bodies

Jesla - I haven't seen any negative effects to date. I have a number of bodies that I have used this method on and have them as part of the regular runners I use and haven't noted any ill effects like brittleness, etc. :) Here is a link to one of the ones I stripped fully and then repainted: Mercury...

Similar to the Friday night cars - this class is a WHOLE lot of fun! The drivers and their cars were: Our host APalme...

Re: Saturday night racing action at Palmer Beach & The Sand

Great report and equally great tracks. Love "The Sand Pit" but nice design on "The Beach". Both tracks are a LOT of fun and running with the "Fuel / Pit Stop" option was a riot! Definitely looking forward to the next outing at the Beach and the Sand Pit! :D :banana-dan...

Whelen Modified to the body shop!

Slot Therapist ordered up a batch of 3d printed bodies from a seller msch2318 on ebay to put together a new series to run on the various ovals in our group. Here are a couple shots of the body as received: http://www.homeracingworld.us/SHADOW/Coppermine/albums/userpics/10013/20180122_190749.jpg http...
