Re: Playing with figures!

Lesson learned: tell someone unfamiliar with 3D printing to not touch it while printing. Had my exterminator bump the table in the middle of my last figure print. Just doing that left a slight "off" print to occur about a hair wide from the normal body. Gives the figure a funny looking rin...

Re: Taking the leap!

Junior - Yup, they are a bit hungry, but my favorite geek store.

The PLA+ is working excellent. I purchased the white. A friend got regular PLA in silver and we found it a little brittle. Not sure why.

Re: Playing with figures!

So, I'm about 100 figures into this 3D gig. So far, I have to say I'm VERY pleased - even with the early ones at the .1 resolution. The last few batches have my new Cura "tweaks" done and some GCode that runs the printer. Getting very nice results and no failures. I'm maybe about 1/2 throu...

Re: Playing with figures!

Rob - that is funny!

I've got a little vignette planned for the PDR - seems the Plymouth guys are setting up a fan area that will have some muscle on display and some eye-catching advertising as well ;)

Re: Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to my HRW family. I hope it is a blessed time for everyone.

I especially want to wish this to those wearing a uniform - whether military or first responders in our communities. Thank you all!

First Ender3 mods - for a reason!

So, 100+ figures in, I decided to stop and print two mods for my Ender3. One is for the fan that is just below the bed - debris can fall into here. So here's the fan guard: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2935204 The other is something that actually just ruined 10 figures that were half printed - ...

Re: First Ender3 mods - for a reason!

Got the fan and arm done and made two more mods today: http://rmsresins.com/pics/figs/fan.jpg http://rmsresins.com/pics/figs/arm.jpg I still wasn't happy with the way the extruder feeds so I did a quick extruder guide: http://rmsresins.com/pics/figs/ext.jpg I also found this nifty tool holder for al...

Re: Greg's "Learn from my fail" for 3D printing...

All good points. Haven't had any of those issues but see forums full of people making many of those mistakes you point out. Interestingly enough - Colorado is so dry, that there is no issue with the PLA sticking.

Re: why i love my new printer!

Bob - I am SO happy you are pleased with these and I can see why - they are awesome!!! I love how you did the shirts with some decals and the camo cargo shorts crack me up!!! The fact that you can size any figure up or down really benefits all the scales in the hobby. What is most amazing is that in...
