Dave probably painted some fantasy liveries. That's what I did with the various NASCAR Vintage cars, Trans Ams, LeMans, etc. Like you, Harry, I wasn't through with them yet when they quit.

Re: Cars I miss

Yeah, I still have two of them with the differential intact and working just fine. All it ever took was packing the diff with grease to make them work great.

Re: Latest picks from the shelves

I think the Porsche 908/3 must have made a big splash in Europe. I am amazed that it keeps getting modelled again and again, just like the 917 and 926. Not that I object- I love racing Porsches, I am just surprised to keep seeing them.

Re: Attn. Ol Pharts!

Okay, here are the rules for OFA (old farts anonymous): [compiled from my own experience and my medico wife's advice] 1. Double the number of lamps and wattage of the bulbs over your workspace. 2. Get a proper chair, your back will rebel if you spend a few hours in the same position, now that you ar...

Re: ROUND 7 CANALAMI

Now I'm doing calculations about this track. Are there progress photos when it was being built? Is it difficult to reach deslotted cars in the middle?

Re: The Great Hudson Hullabaloo Build Off 2017!!!!

Make 'em chicken soup with a little extra salt! (use canned broth, Wyler's or Telma cubes). Its penicillin for poor folks (I should know!), and it works. No kidding, make a clear broth of chicken and toss in some rice or noodles with dried parsley. They will feel better and get well sooner. Not to m...

Re: Revell Dune Buggy

Looks like a modified Meyers Manx. Definitely sidewinder layout.

Re: Cars/controller for sale

I'd like the Camaro, the Lola T70's #8 and #9. PM to follow. Curious about the price for the Mercedes, too.

Re: Off the wall project

Yeah, it looks like a blast and I can imagine myself shoehorned into a tiny Marmon Wasp wearing a Barney Olfield outfit, and all that... But, Bob! What a welder you are! That is fantastically good work on that chassis. Congratulations, and it has rolled a foot yet! Is that a reduction setup with a f...

Re: Off the wall project

Bob, I was just drooling over the photos again, and I noticed you did the same thing to your mower that I did. Mine was because I slid 20 feet sideways and crashed into the creek, nearly breaking my neck as bad as I destroyed the hood of the mower. So its now an "open" engine hot rod mower...

Re: TGIF! - Relax a little

HA! As opposed to "Jared's" from the sickeningly repetitive commercials this time of year. I finally got it.
