Re: The Gunston Battle: place your bets here!

You are right, it's not really a Flyslot anymore. It's a FlySlab!

Go TEAM FLYSLAB! :music-rockout:

Re: help with tire size

The wrench is for the rear axle adjustment if needed and if you decide to install M2 setscrews on the front. I never bothered with that. http://homeracingworld.us/TeamHRW/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/marchgears1.jpg Tuning will be very minor IMHO. If you are happy with it, leave it be. I can safely sa...

Re: Ken Wallis 1942 Racing Track

Well, Lionel is usually thought of as the first or one of them. 1912 I think.

But what this man did is nothing short of incredible. Making his motors? Using bombsight mechanisms? Here is a guy who REALLY wanted some electric cars.

Re: help with tire size

You are welcome, glad to help.

There are quite a few folks on here racing and collecting them. These are likely some of the best slot cars you can buy dollar for dollar...if you like the genre of course.

Might as well grab that new March. It's a looker.

Re: Ken Wallis 1942 Racing Track

Here is an interesting article...and Mr. Wallis is mentioned. LINK TO ARTICLE Technically speaking I suppose we can say rail...but in between the rails, we could say slot :) [BBvideo 640,480:2j7t1hha]https://youtu.be/0B0Mo6Y4iHE[/BBvideo:2j7t1hha] No matter either way. It is good that Mr. Wallis was...

Re: LMM squaretail Porsche replacements?

Likely yes. Measure the entire tire and then we can find a close match.

Re: Scalextric BMW Z4 GT3 - VROOAAW!

Thanks for the report Bob. Yes, those lights are just enough. Ran some myself and it was quite the sight. I might need to brush in some black in the rear to reduce the bleed though. Not a bug deal. No time for any comparisons here but I look forward to it. The Merc is a tough customer. In fact I hav...

Re: Scalextric BMW Z4 GT3 - VROOAAW!

It is the artwork text In the Michel Valliant cartoon strip that describes the sound of a race car.

Re: where to get a gain router bit / for 1/4 inch braid

Great news. Yes, it is rather intimidating at first, but if a old redneck like me can do it, anyone can.

It's why you see more and more home racers laying down the lumber. We have all the tools, references, and part sources now. More than ever before.

Good luck and will follow progress.
