Re: Allard Palm Beach Mark 2

Looks like its going to be up to Munter. The best I found was a 1:43 metal kit from long ago, but it is the GT coupe version.

Re: Petty's Torino in progress

Just a little aside... because of this thread, I have just been through my back stock of bodies, and I find that I have more than enough Carrera and resin bodies to make a fleet of USAC racers. There are Roadrunners, Chargers, Torinos, Galaxies, and more. This is a surprise to me, so I may have to d...

Re: New Forum Launch

My browser is an antique, so the captcha nuisance keeps me out of registering. I'll try to capture and abuse my son to get this damned 9 year old browser updated. In the meantime, I'm stuck. I'll be around as much as I can, though. I hate not being the first to register. I will try another computer ...

Re: Go on Ninco track .............

Tire selection is most important on Ninco track. You probably already noticed the surface is very aggressive. I'd toss the magnets before you go any further. They make you dependent, and when you go to traditional tracks at other folks' places, you drive like you are impaired. Copper tape on the rai...

Re: New Forum Launch

This might be a good time for me to mention to everybody that Harry has to go to Incredibly Boring Fort Sill for some real job stuff and won't be able to jump on things for a while to save us from ourselves. Great steaks, best ever, really interesting museum, absolutely nothing else. Wear earplugs m...

Re: resin body paint

Use Bleche-Wite whitewall tire cleaner, rinse thoroughly, let dry for overnight. Apply primer, then two to three misting coats of lacquer, After two days, brush on a thick coat of Future. You can not do wrong with this plan. I recommend Tamiya lacquers, but I have used Testor's lacquer to get an exa...

Re: Happy Bathurst day.

I love the Bathurst! A dear friend of mine sent me a set of DVD's of decades of the Bathurst, and I have been savoring them for years.

Look out Skippy! The racers are back in town!
