Yet another loser halftime show for Superbowl.

What 12 year old thought that Justin Timberlake belonged in the halftime show at the Superbowl? He's a Mickey Mouse Factory product, along with Britney Spears (buttshaker), and a series of other zero talent twits, and he has claimed inspiration from dead performers for years, case in point, Prince, ...

Re: Carrera Wheel Removal

The generally accepted method for removing Carrera plastic wheels from an axle is to very gently twist the wheel against the axle while pulling the wheel away from the axle. If you follow the twist of the axle, you will leave plenty of grip for the wheel/axle join. I grip the wheel in a vice, then t...

Re: 1959 Fairlane 500

The '57 and the '59 were really nice looking cars. The best operating roof was the '59, and then they stopped making the Skyliner. I had the '58, which was butt ugly by comparison and I had to park on a hill to make the roof work. We stuffed an old Y-block into it, but that was the only modification...

Re: Carrera Wheel Removal

DON'T! There are splined axles in RTR slot cars, but Carrera doesn't do that. The axles on Carrera cars are knurled.

Re: Carrera Wheel Removal

So, its a new thing that they are using splined axles? I've never seen splined axles on Scaley or Carrera in many, many years. Over the years, I have found Scaley axles harder to get wheels off of and save the wheel. That's a big deal. The standard ways of removing plastic wheels have been around a ...

Re: Scalextric rolling road

If you are looking for it as "Scalextric" that could be your problem. That was made by RM Racing in 2013. I thought the price was ridiculous and didn't buy. It is kind of a cute thing to see the jeweler's watch case vice used as a motor stand. You can easily make the same tool from readily...

Re: The PDR hosted a few recent racers!

I can't help it... I want the Falcon parts truck. If I ever get one to restore, that's my paintjob.

Re: Classic Sunday at the Skunkworks - NINCO Mercedes CLK GT

I guess everybody knows about my love of NC-1's. I still buy them anytime I see them for sale. I have been amazed by the kinds of cars that little motor will run. I built an old vac formed 1/24th '41 Willys for one in a plastic sheet chassis just for fun, and it ran great. I bought a sackful of the ...

Re: Carrera Classic Ferrari Tuning

Speakin' of which, will this be the new E-type, or D-type? I'm waiting for the blue-green set car E-type to come for sale without the set, and the white Bathurst car is on the way here now. I'm very curious to see how much it differs from the Scaley E-type from many years ago. I wish I still had one...

Re: Carrera SCX 1/43 1/32 cars New Lower prices

Yay! I don't have either one of those '57's, and I missed the #34 Wendell Scott car completely. This is a triple win for me. Thanks, Rusty!
