I will look into my ability to attend (I live close to Richmond), and I'll look around for you if I can go.

Re: Question an a vintage T-jet chassis

How do the carbon brushes look? Also, look at the socket the armature shaft goes in, they sometimes get hot and deform, and they can collect crud sometimes, too.

Re: The Doctor is IN!

It must have been one helluva effort to move again so soon. Keep the faith, bud. I'll look forward to the big ol' road course in what ever form it takes this time. Work area looks good... and familiar!

Re: Molotow "Chrome"...and..CG 3 ear knock offs

I've been experimenting with that chrome pen, too. I've tried it on plastic, wood, rubber, and glass. Its flawless. I don't know what that stuff is, and I can't identify the smell, but everybody- don't ask questions, go buy it. There are at least 30 cars I am going to touch up with this thing.

Re: Race Across America's new home

I wish you guys the all the good times you can take. But I am pretty sure you have set the record for the greatest number of rules, the most specific rules, and the most stringent rules. What's the balance between inspection and racing time? Just curious. It looks like a huge amount of work. Real de...

Re: Country Car Show

Love that Hudson! And I forgot how many Rambler Ambassador cop cars there were for a while. Where I lived it was Plymouth Furies and Dodge Polaras, all with 383 Commando cop special engines. It was a treat to be in hearing distance when they would get a call and that huge cop AFB carb would kick in.

Re: Ferrari 166 and 250 SWB a couple of resin kits.

David, those are great! Looks like you're building up for a Blue Ridge Parkway Derby!

Nice SWB. I never could figure out why Carrera of all people, dropped the ball and only made that in the big scale.

Re: Slot car shops New York, Boston, DC

David, you had me all excited! I read your title and was already planning a trip to NYC or Boston to meet you! Now I've read your post, my wife is relieved I'm not making the trip. Of course, if I ever get to Australia I have promised to get my wife to her friend in Melbourne, which is close to Lynn...

Re: Looking for an ultra thin braid that is fairly soft...

Here's another complication...

I have looked all over and apparently desoldering braid now comes in widths no larger than 2.5mm. Mine is 5mm, which is a match to the old Ninco and Fly braids. If you find it, look for 5mm wide, unfluxed, in standard 5 foot reels, about $3-$4.

Re: Happy Birthday Shotgun Dave!

So, 53, eh? Why back when I was 53, I... Damn. I don't remember back that far. In a few days, I'll be 66. No, I don't want to think about that. Happy Birthday, Bud.
