Great article, don't miss this!

I got a hit on this article because I had a typo on a search, and I am so grateful for old man hands that sometimes miss keyboard keys. For those of you who born after 1965 or so, the names like Stirling Moss, Jack Brabham, Juan Manuel Fangio, Phil Hill, etc, might be the stuff of stories and race a...

Do you still have the little Chevron (Wynn's)? I'll take it, if so.

Re: Monogram/PM Kit in!

Yeah, it was a great time to be teenager, all right. The first of the Monogram chassis for the stockers was a real embarrassment. Several problems that were exaggerated by a big spur gear and out of scale small tires. They got better pretty quick. For us it was an excuse for tearing into it with lot...

Re: Monogram/PM Kit in!

This is going to be very interesting. The Monogram bodies were great, the nice interior is a big bonus, and because so many of us have done all kinds of stuff with these exact bodies, folks who are new to all this will have a tremendous available library of information to draw from. No fear! I expec...

Re: 1/28 Scale

I was in the middle of that one. 1/28 was never going to displace 1/32 or 1/24. It was apparently intended to establish a new scale, a huge gamble. Ninco had done a new scale plan of similar size that was a disaster some time ago, bolstered by an ultralight body and an unexplainably transparent chas...

Re: Racing at Gameovers Garage

I once cooked two 21 pound whole pork shoulders on my grill in a driving snowstorm for 14 hours. Neighbors worried about me and kept bringing me coffee, which ruined the flagons of beer I consumed. This is what happens when your neighbors all have darling sweet good girl children who bring coffee an...

Re: In my best Jimmy Hendrix...

Hey there, hill hopper! Hoyt Axton is so homey and familiar, he isn't so hard, but Jimi is impossible with my brain, drugs or not. I can't do Mozart either! If I did the drugs Steppenwolf did, I'd probably come out close to them, but NO!!!! I don' wanna!!!! I'll take reality straight, no chaser!

Re: In my best Jimmy Hendrix...

Yeah. It was amazing what that man recorded. Some of his best were songs he wrote himself. Everything from traditional Bluegrass to country to progressive folk, to hard hitting rock blues. He's one of the ones I miss most.

Re: 34 Ford Panel Van

Isn't it funny how that simple little kit has been so popular that there are more of them that people held onto than anything else? Its happy hunting ground looking for these little trucks, and they are infinitely customizeable with loads of room inside. I even thought about reversing the chop of th...
