Re: 2018 Trans-Am Proxy Rules!

Leadfoot46 wrote:Okay, does this mean that the SRC 1971 Ford Capri 2600 RS is allowed now? I hope so, then I can cancel my order for the over priced and hard to find Alfa! :music-rockout:

The silver and orange ones above are the SRC 1971 Ford Capri 2600 RS - that one is ok - NOT the one with the Group5 flares.

Re: Trans-Am Series Race #10 - Palmer Divide Raceway

All the cars have been tested at least 3 laps each and I have to say - some that didn't like the old version of the PDR have ZERO issues with the new version. Much better flow and lack of hairpins makes them all very driveable. This should be a VERY fast race!

Re: RMS Resin Dodge Dart build

Mitch is totally correct on the CG 3D chassis! Sorry I'd forgotten to mention that! I have a few of their chassis for testing and plumb forgot to mention them. Due to my move, etc. they are sitting here awaiting my final testing under the Dart. I also have a narrow version I plan on running under my...

Re: 2018 Trans-Am Proxy Rules!

Alan,

Good luck to you Sir - those seem to have issues, but I think they can be fixed. As for the Camaro vs. Mustang - funny how one can be so fast with almost nothing done to it!

Re: RMS Resin Dodge Dart build

The Pioneer will not work nor will the Scalextric Camaro/Mustang without removing the built-in posts and hogging out the wheel wells. The axles are way too wide, and in the case of the Cougar's chassis - way too long. The PCS is the best bet as it is adjustable and you can then use axles/wheels that...

2018 Trans-Am Proxy Shipping

The past several years of running or hosting proxy races has been educational. One area that always seems to be problematic is shipping. After some folks do an amazing amount of prep or paint on their cars - they send it in the box equivalent of a padded envelope. Additionally, with multiple cars, I...

Re: 2018 Trans-Am Proxy Rules!

Ok, I see the SRC issue - I had it in my head they made a normal Capri - not so. Since the Fly Alfa with the bubbles is allowed, I'll allow the SRC with the style shown in the orange one above. Or, for those that need to see the difference - the Silver one is ok, the yellow one with the G5 flares is...

Trans-Am Series Race #10 - Palmer Divide Raceway

That's right! Last round is coming up! The cars have arrived and I'll be unboxing those tomorrow and inspecting.

I'll be setting up the last round and will get my cast of characters to drive. So, schedule will be figured out by this weekend.

Re: 2018 Trans-Am Proxy Rules!

Dickie - that Cortina was FAST the last time I drove that!

Don - that SRC is WAY wrong for T/A I'm afraid. Your resin Capri has the correct flares - the SRC is close to G5 in width and is not in the spirit of how the cars looked in the T/A days.

Re: 2018 Trans-Am Proxy Rules!

https://postimg.org/image/pd390z3ux/ Car looks fast! Are you planning on putting the lower front valance on the car? We do want to try and keep the cars looking as close to we can from when they ran in the day. Also, just make sure to check the rules that you've cleared the Underside of car chassis...

Re: 2017 Trans-Am Proxy Entrant Official Results Updated 11/

Round 9 from Pebblestone is added! One race to go!!! While radarek and steeveew appear to have First and Second places overall just about sewn up - look at the standings for 3rd - 6th - only 5 laps separate those! Anyone can grab 3rd place at this time! Stay tuned!!! https://o.aolcdn.com/images/dims...
