The ALL-New Palmer Divide Raceway!!!

Managed a little work this weekend. The timing system is now sorted and working. I would have liked to not used the light gantry but this area of the basement is just too dark to get away with that. It works very well! I painted the outer track lines using 1/4" green tape to run the lines. I st...

The NEW PDR hosts it's first race!

I was able to lure Mark, Jim and Jim to play by providing lunch (sadly, not HRW BBQ-fare) on Saturday. Friday night saw me doing a mad scramble getting the timing system up as after moving tracks multiple times, my IR photocells had several bad wires I had to resolder. Fortunately, I have an awesome...

The ALL-New Palmer Divide Raceway!!!

Ever leave the power on to your track all night? I have several times. So, I just installed 50' of blue, LED rope lighting under the track. Not only can I now see in my boxes under the table, but it is plugged into the same plug bar as the power. It'll be a little hard to miss this now... https://up...

Re: The ALL-New Palmer Divide Raceway!!!

Greg - Just a rubber band on a controller and turning the power to where the car doesn't de-slot. Very easy on this track.

I discovered today that the chrome pen works especially well over black, just like the stuff I used to use. I can't remember the name right now, but "over black" was in the instructions.

Re: The ALL-New Palmer Divide Raceway!!!

Hi David, New track looking great. You already know I love the layout! So you have switched back to DC power now? Don't use AC anymore? Waiting over here for the next update! Greg - As the track is a way less technical I am going DC with a single PS per lane and using the SCC driver stations. I had...
