Re: New Policar Track

"America is probably not in the equation."

According to certain "market experts" that is the case. We are "tiny".

If the price of the track is relative to the price of the cars? Dead player. Just like the cars. A very small % compared to other performance brands.

Re: Article about Slot Cars, LA Times

and most exciting of all, we are increasingly treated to father-and-kids slot racers with home tracks. Grandfather and grandkids are great, but the future is in the memories these kids make with their dads at home.

Re: New Policar Track

Correct. In a way. Most simply READ. Search. But never bother to join or post. It's just plastic track. Not sure what is expected for it to "do". The adaptor sections are smart. A digital standard compatibility across brands would be smarter. We should learn the lessons from the model trai...

Re: Article about Slot Cars, LA Times

Cannot say I agree with some of those comments. Our hobby isn’t based entirely on nostalgia nor is it “dying”. I have heard that since before I started the website.

Still here, still going.

Re: Showdown Results and Review

Oh yes, the Dodge had the front mount break free. Caused a rub and major slowdown. We stopped the race and the screw was missing, I secured the best I could with a new screw. But didn't leave much body float. But in the heat of battle, not a lot of time to do major repairs. And again, at these speed...

Re: Showdown Results and Review

Because speed was not the issue. Maybe some more weight. In perspective, SADCO left the milder MT5 in his car. But it had great weight on bottom and was a TANK on the track. Bump him and guess who won? It stayed in the slot and grabbed a podium, and that was with no time for testing as the car arriv...

Re: Showdown Results and Review

Dan, what happened was the right rear wheel came loose. The car obviously was not gripping with a wheel spin. We raced it a couple laps as we did not know it was loose...until of course the wheel came off and passed the field. I stopped the race and fixed it. But at the speed we are going it was too...

Re: Tapatalk Issues, help!

Yes please try using Chrome. Tapatalk has went the "Photobucket" route. Less service and demand funding. And will soon be gone for good like Photobucket. The script I had in place for this new forum was removed. Why, by Magic? To return the script so this version of HRW would work again......
