Re: Different types of 1/32 scale racing

Yep, that about sums it up.

Had just as much fun with a mag than without. Large scale, small scale. Big track, little track. It's more about the people. Surrounded by good friends or newcomers, if we have a smile then that's as good as it gets.

Re: Where can I buy B-NOVA?

Yes, CG Slotcars made new ones. Check the diameter of the hole to see if you need the large or small.

Re: The Giant Midget Project *Completed*

Thanks guys, and thanks Rusty for the kit!

It runs pretty good given it's size. Need to true some tires as I left them with tread on for photos. Time to get them race ready.

Re: The Giant Midget Project *Completed*

Thanks. Yes the wheels with the custom tire sizes seems to work.

Honesty did not measure it, did not think it mattered much given the one-off it is. The wheelbase is what the kit dictated. I'll measure tomorrow.

Fun to drive and it looks the part. That's all I want from a toy.

Re: The Giant Midget Project WIP

Well, what can I say? Time just got away from me. But it's finally finished. Used Duplicolor paint and assorted decals from my collection. Mostly Gofer Racing. http://www.homeracingworld.us/TeamHRW/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/gmchassis2-900x456.jpg Fabricated the guide tongue. Piranha motor, Slot.it ...

Re: Guide trimming

Depends on the car, track. If the original guide is even or even behind the front axle, I leave as much forward as I can. On normal cars? Even with the front if possible. This is on my wood track with no tight hairpins. http://www.homeracingworld.us/TeamHRW/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/scguide17.jpg
